Nike has re-released their Air Max Infared sneaks. You can get the shoes by checking out your closest Quickstrike account. But be forewarned, when the shoes were released at Overkill it was mayhem. Check out the video footage. Source

On his radio show the other morning Ryan Seacrest claimed that over the weekend he was bit by a shark. He said he was only 8 feet out into the ocean when he felt a sting. “I thought it was a stick. I wasn’t sure what had happened. I saw it swim! He took a bite, and he left.” Said Seacrest. He compared finding the tooth to ”finding a splinter.” SourceI bet that shark just had a sweet tooth and Ryan’s tangy sweetness was seeping into the water.

NY Mag reports that Dustin Diamond is writing a tell-all about his years on the show Saved by the Bell entitled Under the Bell. The book will be filled with stories about “sexual escapades among cast members, drug use, and hardcore partying.” Source I try not to support duche bags but I loves me some Saved by the Bell. I just may have to read this one. I loves me some Saved by the
Bell. In fact, for years I thought that it was possible for me to one day grow up and become Lisa Turtle…true story. Anywho, no word on when the book will be out but I’ll keep you posted.

Rapper Lil Wayne is being sued for covering the Rolling Stones song “Play With Fire” without permission. Abkco Music Inc. owns rights to the song and they’re accusing Lil Wayne, his artistic collaborators and his record company of copyright infringement and unfair competition. The suit also contends that
Wayne’s version uses “explicit, sexist and offensive language” and could lead the public to believe the company and the Rolling Stones approved of and authorized the new version. Source
I’m not in the biz but even I know you have to ask first before samplin’ someone else’s music. In the long run it’ll probably cost you a lot less. Dummy.

Brangelina just had twins and this winter so will Rebecca Romijn and husband Jerry O’Connell. Jerry mentioned in an interview a few months ago that they were tryig and the couple confirmed that they indeed have two buns in the oven. Source
They probably did in vitro. I’m sure they coulda got a baby from Pakastan for a lot less trouble. Just a thought. Oh yea, Congrats!

Actress Jasmine Guy, of A Different World fame, filed for divorce from her husband of 10 years Terrence Duckett back in April. And according to court papers she’s asking for everything…everything. Her liste of items she wants includes her ring, art, dvd players, pots, pans, a toaster, and the kitchen sink. Ok the last one I made up but the toaster is definitely on the list. Both Jasmine and Terrence want physical and legal custody of their 9-year-old daughter Imani. Source
Damn homey, the toaster? I wonder what prompted this pettiness. Terrence either really effed up or Jazzy is just a bitch.

With the success of The Dark Knight and death of Heath Ledger, who played the creepiest role in Batman history, the movie’s director Chris Nolan, is looking for another big name to play a villain. Julie Newmar, who played catwoman on the 60s TV version of Batman thinks that Angelina Jolie would “own the part”.
Newmar tells the New York Daily News, “Angelina would own the part. My industry friends tell me (she) has made inquiries about the role. I can understand how it would pique her interest. Catwoman is Batman’s one true love. She’s tremendously popular with women because she’s both a heroine and a villainess.”
As long as the writing is as awesome as The Dark Knight a sea monkey could play the part and it would still be stellar.

The ‘Black’ issue of Italian Vogue, according to
UK new source The Guardian, has been flying off the stands. In the past four weeks the publisher, Conde Nast, has rushed to reprint and distribute 40,000 more copies.
“It has been unprecedented, a sensation, although that wasn’t the aim,” said Jonathan Newhouse, chairman of Condé Nast International. Here in the States, the issue is shrink-wrapped and stickered with the words “First Reprint. The Most Wanted Issue Ever.”
“I’ve been watching the news-stands since the beginning. There are lines of women when they hear of a new shipment,” says Kenya Hunt, the young black style editor of Metro International News in
New York. “The news-stand guys are hustling, locking it up in the back and charging $25, $28, when the real price is $16. Yesterday, I saw it on eBay for $50. There is a climate shift. This is the year of the presidential election. And this at a time when magazine sales are really hurting.” Source
I’d be very interested to see what the racial demographic is of the issues supporters. Those stats could do well to prove that all things black aren’t just for blacks. We don’t always have to be niche…we are marketable.

Shia Labouf got in a car accident early Sunday (July 27th, 2008) morning. His F-150 truck flipped over after making an illegal turn and getting side swiped by another car. He wasn’t seriously injured but he did hurt his hand bad enough to need surgery. A source told UsWeekly that while parting at the Troubadour (before the accident) “He was dancing around and acting really crazy. He stayed until the band was done and then stumbled out of the club by himself.” SourceHowever he had a female passenger in the car with him at the time of the crash who was later identified as Australian actress Isabel Lucas. Isabel is girlfriend of Entourage actor Adrian Grenier and The NY Daily News says that he is none too happy about his girlfriend hangin out with Shia at 3am. SourceIsabel and Shia are in Transformers 2 together so they could have been doing some late night drunken line reading. OOORRR they coulda been slappin nasty parts. Who knows?
Update: The crash isn’t Shia’s fault. Even though the DUI charge Shia received at the scene remains, the po-po have found that the other driver was at fault because he ran a red light. “He (Shia) was not at fault,” sheriff’s spokesman Steve Whitmore said. Source
They might as well dismiss the charge while they’re at it. Its not like he’ll ever serve any time, do any community service, or pay any fines. That’s not how it goes in Hollyweird.

Nike has created the new Air Questo Air Force 1’s. There is a complete collection of 18 pairs of shoes created by DJ ?uest Love of the Roots. He says,
“I just wanted to start off with a very loud statement, a sneaker that sort of has 12 exclamation points behind it. Something that just screams “Rahhhhrr” so you know, this is an extension of my personality. The inside (of the shoe) is of me drumming. Yeah, inside art is very important to me. Even though you’re the only person that sees it from a consumer standpoint but, I sorta know you put a lot of work into it as a designer based on how your shoe is designed on the sole.” Source
This pair is a wee bit busier than anthing I would rock but I love that Nike is broadening its horizons.
