Rapper Da Brat has been sentenced to 3 years in jail, 7 years probation, and 200 hours of community service for assaulting a waitress in a club last year.  The victim was hospitalized and has suffered permanent facial scarring. Source

Former Portland Trailblazers star Kevin Duckworth is dead at the young age of 44.  The cause of death remains unknown. Kevin Duckworth, a two-time All-Star who was the starting center on the Portland Trail Blazer teams that made it to the 1990 and 1992 NBA Finals, has died of unknown causes.The seven-foot center played in the NBA from 1986-1997. Most of those years he was in

Super producer Swizz Beats (nee Kasseem Dean) may have made $17 million last year but he reportedly owes the IRS almost $900K in taxes.  There’s a lien against Swizz and his estranged wife Mashonda for $842,644.52.  Source

I really hope he’s got something saved away and pays up ASAP.  The IRS is not one to be messed with.

Actor Eric Dane (aka McSteamy from Grey’s Anatomy) and wife actress Rebecca Gayheart are dunzo according to Star magazine.

“They’ve been trying to keep it quiet while they work on their problems, but the problems may be too great to overcome. Eric and Rebecca used to love spending time together and were barely apart. Snoop Dogg was banned from entry to
Australia earlier this year but according to the Melbourne Herald Sun he will be able to tour the continent in October.

Kate Hudson has developed a new hair care line that employs the uses of volcano ashes.  Interesting, no? Well there’s one problem.  A company called 220 Labratories is suing Kate for using ash in their line of products because they say that a scientist who works for them came up with the idea first. 
In the suit 220 says that Kate and her stylist Babaii are guilty of fraud, misappropriation of trade secrets, breach of contract, breach of confidence and a bunch of other ish.  They also say that they’re guilty of breaking an oral contract that established 200 as the sole providers of hair products employing volcano ash.  Source
