Black Eyed Peas’ Music Up for Sale

Cherry Lane Music Publishing is seeking a buyer for their entire catalogue of songs which includes songs by Elvis Presley, Quincy Jones, and the Black Eyed Peas.  Sony, Universal Music Group and Warner Music Group have all expressed interest.  The New York Post says that the New York Based Cherry lane has an estimated worth oaf $100 million and $150 million. I wonder what’s behind this sale.  Seems like one would want to hold on to some of those catalogues…especially Elvis.
