Hilary Duff’s Dad Gets Locked Up
Hilary Duff’s Dad Bob, was carted off to jail for contempt of court during a divorce hearing with his wife, Susan Duff. Susan asked for $25K to pay for a present and party for Hilary’s 21st, citing that that’s the same abount they paid for her sister Haylie’s 21st b-day. The judge ordered Bbo to pay half that amount. Bob was held in contempt for selling off assets without court approval and ordered to spend 10 days in jail and $367, 537 for sold stocks. When Susan saw her ex being cuffed and led away, the Houston Chronicle says she gasped and murmured, “This isn’t what I wanted.”
Neither daughter was in attendance abt the hearing but Hilary has spoken about her parents’ broken marriage in interviews and in songs. “I was embarrassed that my family wasn’t perfect and that some woman had broken it up.” She also wrote two songs about her father’s unfaithfulness, “Gypsy Woman” and “The Stranger.” Source
