Mr. Blackwell, the fashion critic famous for his “Best/Worst Dressed” list recently fell ill. The 86-year-old lost consciousness at his LA home and was rushed to the hospital. Blackwell, nee Richard Sylvan Seltzer is on a ventilator and is intubated. Though he’s conscious he cannot speak due to the tube in his throat. The 86-year-old Blackwell, real name Richard Sylvan Seltzer, was admitted to a hospital on Tuesday, where he remains on a ventilator to assist his breathing. But his publicist Harlan Boll has confirmed he is now conscious and responding to touch. Blackwell is intubated (with a tube down his throat) and cannot speak. Source

Comedian Bernie Mac is sick and in the hospital due to a serious case of pneumonia. There were reports that he had passed away which the Chicago Sun-Times attributes to sources close to his family that called his condition “very, very critical.” His publicist Danica Smith called the death rumors false saying, “Bernie Mac is still alive and being treated in a
Chicago hospital for pneumonia, and is expected to make a full recovery.” Source
Update: Bernie Mac Has succumb to complications due to pneumonia.
Bernie Mac entered the hospital on August 1, 2008 for Pneumonia where he remained until his death on August 9, 2008. Mac was no stranger to illness. He’s been suffering from sarcoidosis, an inflammatory lung disease that produces tiny lumps of cells in the body’s organs, since 1983. He said the disease went into remission in 2005 and always contended that it didn’t effect his lifestyle. Mac was 50 years old.

On his radio show the other morning Ryan Seacrest claimed that over the weekend he was bit by a shark. He said he was only 8 feet out into the ocean when he felt a sting. “I thought it was a stick. I wasn’t sure what had happened. I saw it swim! He took a bite, and he left.” Said Seacrest. He compared finding the tooth to ”finding a splinter.” SourceI bet that shark just had a sweet tooth and Ryan’s tangy sweetness was seeping into the water.

Middle aged hottie Stacy Dash was hurt on the set of the new reality show “Celebrity Circus”.
“Stacey Dash is nursing three cracked ribs when a circus stunt on a new reality U.S.
TV show went wrong. The actress fell while trying to climb a length of fabric, in a stunt for the forthcoming Celebrity Circus.”
